As we look forward to the upcoming World Scientific Francophonie Week (SMFS) in Agadir next October, followed by the Francophonie Summit in Cambodia, the AUF is initiating the renewal of the Executive Committees for the Regional Conferences of Rectors (C2R), whose terms of office are coming to an end. 

We are therefore launching the renewal process for the Executive Committee of the C2R Caribbean. Given the financial constraints currently faced by the AUF, the entire process will be conducted online. 

The first stage will be devoted to the election of the President. Voting will run from September 16 at 11:00 a.m. until September 18, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. (Kingston time). 

Rectors wishing to stand as candidates are invited to send a letter of intent to caraibe@auf.org before midnight on August 12, 2026. The complete application package must be submitted no later than August 28, 2026. 

On September 16, at 9:30 a.m. (Kingston time), an online electoral plenary session (in french) will bring together all C2R members. Candidates will have a few minutes to present their candidacy before voting opens. Results will be announced as soon as voting ends. If no candidate secures the required majority, a second round will take place from September 21 at 11:00, until September 23 at 11:00 (Kingston time). 

Once the President has been elected, the first meeting of the C2R will take place (in french) on September 23, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Kingston time). This meeting will serve to elect the Vice-Presidents and the other members of the Executive Committee. Two working sessions will then address the priorities of the C2R and the establishment of its working groups.
